The African Journal of AIDS Research (AJAR) was founded and managed by CADRE from 2002-2012. It is published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis Group) in partnership with NISC.
AJAR is a peer-reviewed research journal which publishes papers that make original contributions to the understanding of HIV/AIDS in African contexts. AJAR includes articles from, amongst others, the disciplines of sociology, demography, epidemiology, social geography, economics, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, health communication, media, cultural studies, public health, education, nursing science and social work. Papers related to impact, care, prevention and social planning, as well as articles covering social history and the politics of HIV/AIDS will be considered for publication.
The journal is published quarterly and is a Thomson Reuters ISI accredited journal. It is also accredited with the South African Department of Higher Education and Training.
